Board of Review:Please see the 5/22 and 5/29 calendar items under "current events" and "town notices" above for information on the Board of Review.

Liquor, Tobacco, Operators Licensing: The application process has changed this year. Applications need to be completed and turned into the clerk's office by May 24th to be approved at the June 18th Monthly Board Meeting. Please see "Documents" and "Forms" above for more information and current forms.

FREE MONTHLY VITALS CHECK: The Barnes Ambulance is offering free monthly vitals check the first Tuesday of every month at the Town Hall. Learn more here.

MAY CLEAN-UP MONTH: May is clean-up month. Go to Barnes Clean-up Campaign for more information.

PLANNING & ZONING QUESTIONS: Tracy Pooler is the Bayfield County Ass't Zoning Administrator.  Effective 4/30/24, Tracy will be at the Town Office on Tuesdays from 10:00am-noon.  You can also reach him at 715-373-6138 or via email.

2024 TRANSFER SITE PASSES: passes are available for purchase at the Clerk's Office at a cost of $120 per calendar year.  There will no longer be a bag fee and cash will no longer be accepted for disposal fees, credit/debit cards only.

BARNES FOOD SHELF: Food Shelf at the Church is the 2nd Wednesday of the month from 9-11am.

TOWN BUDGET & TAX LEVY: The Tax Levy of $901,006 (approx. 3% increase over 2023) was approved at the Elector's Meeting November 21st.  The 2024 Budget was also adopted and can be found on this website under Town Financial Information.  Tax bills were mailed out the the first week of December.

THE UPDATED COMPREHENSIVE PLAN as proposed is available for viewing here and a Public Hearing was held on December 19th. 

ATTENTION:  CURLY LEAF PONDWEED(CLP) has now been discovered in Shunenberg Lake (part of the Eau Claire chain of lakes).  It looks like this.  Learn more here.  PLEASE HELP REDUCE THE SPREAD BY AVOIDING THESE AREAS!

VOTING INFORMATION:Visit www.myvote.wi.gov for all your voting needs. Request absentee ballots, register to vote, update name and address and much more. Forms also available at the Town Office.

BE AWARE!  A wolf pack has been seen in Tomahawk Lake Park so use caution when walking the trails.
