Public Transit Route Now AvailableBayfield County Department of Human Services and Namekagon Transit are proud to ammounce the start of a public transit route to serve the southern part of Bayfield County. This service will begin operating one day a week (Thursdays) on July 10th, 2008. It will originate in the Barnes area serving Barnes, Drummond and Cable and continue into the Hayward area. Passengers will then have the ablity to transfer to a circulator route in Hayward and travel from store to store as well as the Court House and medical facilities. The cost for the service is $1.00 one way and $.50 for the Hayward circulator. Senior Citizens or persons with disabilities receive a 50% discount, so seniors ride to Hayward, ride the circulator and return to their starting location for just $1.25. The schedule follows and will be adjusted if necessary. Reservations are not necessary, but are appreciated. 9:55AM Leave the Barnes Town Hall 10:15AM Leave Drummond Library and Senior Housing 10:35AM Leave Cable Housing and Grocery Parking lot 11:00AM Arrive at Hayward Walmart and circulator access 2:00PM Begin return trip with stops as needed
HAYWARD CIRCULATOR
NAMEKAGON TRANSIT, in an effort to better serve the public, has developed a circulator bus route within the city and town of Hayward. The route will begin everyday at 10:45 am and run continuously through out the day until 5:30 pm. The cost is $.50 which gives you a transfer that allows you to ride the circulator all day if you wish. The transfer must be turned in at the last stop. Seniors and disabled are given a 50% discount and ride for $.25. The following is a list of stops and times the bus will be at each stop.
