SPOTLIGHT

A REMINDER FROM THE HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT-Homeowners are responsible for removing the snow from in front of their mailboxes, the plows cannot remove it.

UPDATE- THE TOWN HALL IS CLOSED the week of Feb. 11th -The plumber found leaks in the bathroom walls.  Hoping to get them repaired this week. Senior Meals are being held at the Barnes Community Church.

ANNOUNCEMENT-David Delforge is our new Vatten Paddlar event coordinator!  Many thanks to him for taking on this challenge!  Our great volunteers will ensure it's continued success.

NOTICE:  Christine Webb (incumbent) and Eric Neff will be on the ballot for Town Chair for the April 2nd Election, along with Donna Porter (incumbent), Susan Jansen, Mike O'Keefe and George Barnes Sr. for the 2 Board Supervisor positionsNOTE:  There will NOT BE A PRIMARY in FEBRUARY.  More infomation can be found under "Town Operations", "Election and Voting Information", "County, State and Federal Election Information".

THE SKATING RINK IS OPEN.

THE BRUSH PIT WILL ONLY BE OPEN WHEN THE TRANSFER SITE IS OPEN EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY.  Current hours are Wednesday and Sundays from 8am-2pm.

UPDATE:  The 2019 proposed budget was approved at the Town Electors meeting.  Fact Sheets outlining the additional expenses can be found in local establishments, Town Hall and Office.  Taxes are increasing approximately $1 per $1,000 of property value.   

Looking for citizens to volunteer on Town Committees. If interested, double click on heading "committee" on home page. Special Committees form on bottom left to print off or pick one up in the Town Office.

UPDATE:  At the Public Hearing in July, the Town Board re-affirmed their decision to repeal the Jet Ski/Water Skiing Restrictions.  The Lakes Committee has been appointed to address the issue and make recommendations to the board for possible action. 

Tomahawk Park is getting improvements!  The Town has received a matching funds grant to expand the park facilities. Learn more here.  Please consider making a tax deductible donation using this Pledge form.
