Linda said that one check has not been cashed for Winterfest. It was decided to reissue this check for $50.00. Motion (Quentin Ruprecht / Lu Peet) to approve the Treasurer’s Report as given. Call for Discussion. After the Saturday Flea Market, we will look into putting more money into a new CD. This money will be earmarked for the new museum and not for operating expenses.  Linda will keep a running record of what we make on the Flea Markets. Motion carried.

Carol Pease said that we need to keep a record of our time for future grants. Lu Peet will send a copy of the spreadsheet that she uses, to the members.

There was discussion on the Saturday Flea Market. Interested members will also meet at 7:00pm on Friday night at the Pease house to mark the rest of the items.

There was discussion on the proposed POA event for next year. They are proposing an Art Fair in with the Watershed Conference. This may be a good time to hold the Authors, Artists and Artifacts event for BAHA. This will be discussed at a future meeting. Carol Pease handed out literature on the conference.

The nominating committee was discussed. The nominations have to be done before the Annual Meeting so that the information can be sent out to all members before the meeting in September. The nominating committee will consist of Bob Oberstar, Quentin Ruprecht and Carol Pease. All of the current officers indicated that they would run again. There are two director positions that are up this year. They are currently held by Mike Bowes and Judy Neider.

Quentin Ruprecht asked if we have a form to send to those people who have donated items, etc. for tax purposes. Lu Peet said that we have done so in the past for several persons. The IRS said that BAHA does not indicate the value of the donation on the form as this is up to the donor to do this. The person can deduct this for tax purposes as we have applied for our 501 ( c ) (3) number according to Nori Newago. Anyone wanting a letter about donations should contact Lu Peet.

There was discussion on getting more volunteers for BAHA. The members could fill out a form stating what they would like to help with. Perhaps this will get more people to work or donate their time or whatever is needed. This could be sent out with the Annual Meeting notice. Lu will work on a form letter for this by the time it has to be sent out.

There was discussion on having a sign that says what BAHA is all about so that people will know when they see us out there at the flea markets and other events.

Kurt Kuhlman asked if there could possibly be a change in the meeting date. He could perhaps make the meetings if they were held on a Friday or Saturday. This will be discussed further. There was also discussion on having the meetings held other than at Downtown Barnes. The VFW hall would be available at no charge.

The next meeting will be August 16, 2007 at 9:00am at Downtown Barnes.

Motion (Quentin Ruprecht / Bob Oberstar) to adjourn the meeting. Call for discussion. Motion carried. The meeting was adjourned at 10:15 am.

Respectfully submitted,

Lu Peet
